Pinhole photography

A pinhole camera can be created using almost any object that is like a box such as a pringle tub and many other objects. you must be sure no light can get into the box other than through one small hole and inside the box across from thehole you place your light sensitive paper.

To take a photo with a pinhole camera you must keep your finger covering the hole untill you are ready to take a photo. Once you are ready you uncover the hole for 30 seconds maybe more or less, then cover the hole again untill you are back in the dark room where you would then start your developing process.

Chemigrams

For chemigrams we had the light on throughout the whole process. First we lightly put the palm of our hands into the developer and placed our hands onto the paper for 30 seconds and we then continue the developing process. After our first chemigrams we did a second one, but instead of starting with the developer we placed our hands into the fixer first.

Chemigram photography was created by a Belgium man named Pierre Cordier, also known as the father of chemigrams. he invented it during 1956 it is a fusion of painting and photography.

Pictograms photography

For our first week at college we did pictogram photography. I started by placing my objects onto the light sensitive paper beneath the enlarger, I then proceeded to put the light on for 4 seconds before I started the developing process.

For this process you would begin by by putting your photo into the developer for 30 seconds, this will bring out the picture onto the paper. You will next put the paper into the stop bath for 1 minute this stops the photo developing any further. You then place your photo into the fixer for 5 minutes which fixes your photo so that when you take the paper into the light again it wont change. Finally I put my paper into the water for 5 minutes to rinse off the chemicals.
