In the time I have used word press I have found it to be painful. I would much rather be getting on with practical work or using another site. At the start when i was first building my site found quiet difficult to concentrate on keeping the site updated and it was extremely boring when I did. It is a good thing for posting your thoughts and babbling on about what ever your site is about however it is not good to communicate with other bloggers and it personally just wasn’t for me.
I think that a good portfolio is best kept on paper. Word press is by far the worst online site I have attempted to use yet, I couldn’t keep up with it.
I do enjoy doing work online and I definitely think its a good way to really get your work out there to people. But there are certainly a lot better platforms that I could be using other than this one within seven months I only got as many as four views, where as on Instagram u get up yo thirty a week. The journey I have taken has been quiet interesting. I have learnt many new photographic techniques throughout the course. As well as learning a lot about many photographers which I never knew existed. And using word press was a good way to to share there work and and my own versions of it, as well as just talking a load of rubble like I do in my portfolio.
